We at JEDI lab at ¸£Àû¼§ conduct research on intuition, reflection, and emotion in economic decision-making. The aim of our research is to understand everyday decision-making and its underlying processes.

How should healthcare allocate resources when they are not enough for everything? The National Centre for Priority Setting in Health Care at ¸£Àû¼§ helps authorities, regions and clinical activities to prioritise and make decisions.

The Swedish National Centre for Priorities in Health works with priority setting within health and social care. We conduct and support research on priority setting, and offer support to a broad range of stakeholders regarding priority setting issues.

The Unit of Health Care Analysis conducts research in three main areas: health economic assessment, decision making in health care, and priority setting in health care and social services.

Emotions tend to get the upper hand in healthcare decisions. This is shown in a ¸£Àû¼§ study. The results may explain why effective use of healthcare resources is so slow in the making, according to the researchers.
