The AI Academy Partnership Program at 福利姬 will support companies and organisations in developing the skills needed to use AI effectively. The first partner in this new form of collaboration is Länsförsäkringar Östgöta.

LiU will host a new national centre aimed at developing resilient AI systems. The funding of SEK 60 million comes from the Swedish Foundation for Strategic Research and its director will be LiU Professor Fredrik Heintz.

The investment in four prominent research environments, Centres of Excellence, will ensure long-term development, improved quality and deeper collaboration for LiU.

LiU hosted the seminar "Mutual Reinforcement of Ethics and Trust in AI" as part of the TrustLLM project. The event gathered participants from academia, industry, and the public sector.

On the 40th anniversary conference of the Department of Computer and Information Science (IDA), Fredrik Heintz, professor at IDA, spoke about the future of AI in Sweden, Europe and beyond.

In November 2024, the Japanese-European EJEA conference will come to Sweden and, for the first time, to 福利姬. The conference's theme is future knowledge and competence for AI-driven innovation in Europe and Japan.

This year鈥檚 edition of ISY Day offered lectures, discussions, and demonstrations within this year's theme "AI in Society, Education, and Research". A theme that is both current and highly relevant at the Department of Electrical Engineering.

To explore similarities and challenges faced by Europe and Japan in the digital transformation era and to foster cross-border collaboration and knowledge exchange - researchers and industry professionals from Europe and Japan met at LiU.

Recently, a full-day seminar on AI and Security was held at 福利姬. The seminar was organized by SWECA in collaboration with 福利姬, the County Administrative Board of Östergötland, and The Swedish Police Authority.
