Library research support
Welcome as a researcher to Linköping University! The Library will support you in a range of ways throughout the research process.
Make your research visible
If your research is not disseminated, it will not be read. We help you to self archive in DiVA and use LinkedIn, ResearchGate and Wikipedia to reach more.
We also show you how to optimize your texts for search engines, so your research is easier to find and gets the impact it deserves.
Your research data is valuable
Whether you collect your own data or reuse others鈥�, we can guide you on how to search, manage and make it available. We can help you write a Data Availabilty Statement (DAS), choose the right repository and create a data management plan.
If the journal requires the publication of sensitive data - contact us, we have a solution!
Publishing ethics
As a researcher, you rely on what others have already written. Publishing ethics is about reusing text and data and publishing ethically. Avoid plagiarism, fabrications and falsifications, use AI wisely, learn how to manage your copyright and Creative Commons.
Reference management
Book an introduction to the reference management programs EndNote and Zotero. We can also help you with how to reference odd sources.
Bibliometrics
We conduct bibliometric analyses at the institutional, departmental and research environment level and work to raise awareness and knowledge of the uses of bibliometrics.
Do you need publication data for a research proposal? We help you find the right one.
Strategic publishing
We advise you on how best to publish to meet your and your funder’s require-ments. We guide you on preprints, parallel publishing and how to avoid predatory journals. Publishing agreements are often available when you choose to publish your article Open Access.
Access scientific publications
The Library has a large selection of scientific publications, most of which are available online.
Your LiU card works as a library card! What you can’t get otherwise, we can usually order for you for free.
Structure your searches
We help you develop your search techniques and give tips on different types of search tools. We can also support you in your search process for literature reviews.
LiU E-Press
Linköping University Electronic Press is LiU’s own Open Access publishing house and publishes, for example, educational resources, dissertations, series and databases.
E-Press offers professional advice and hosting for those who want to publish conference proceedings or an academic journal.
Digital Lab
Digital Lab strengthens researchers’ digital confidence by offering workshops that introduce AI tools, NVivo, 3D modeling, 3D printers and Python, among others.
Make your research easier to find
ORCID
Create an ORCID (researcher ID) and verify on MinIT. It will only take a minute.
Employee page
Your employee page at liu.se is your window to the outside world. Make sure it looks good and reflects what you do.
Your publications in DiVA
Keep DiVA up to date! You can also add, for example, patents, preprints or artistic output.
Creative Commons licence
When publishing Open Access, the CC BY license is often the best choice.
