Axel Lindfors

Assistant Professor

I would like to contribute to a broader understanding of how our industrial systems interact with nature and society.

Resource efficiency, effectiveness and sustainability

We need to increase resource efficiency and productivity within our industrial systems to ensure sustainable industrial development. My research focuses on how contextual factors influence the potential for this, and how decision support can be designed to facilitate the transformation of industry.

Research

My research focuses on resource efficiency and environmental impact from industrial systems. Topics such as life cycle assessment, multi-criteria analysis, and industrial symbiosis are my core areas. I always work in close collaboration with companies and public actors in my research to co-create knowledge together with industry and the public sector.

Teaching

I teach the courses Environmental Technology Solutions and Industrial Symbiosis, and I supervise thesis projects at both bachelor's and master's levels within Energy and Environmental Engineering, with a focus on environmental systems analysis, industrial symbiosis, or environmental management.
