Presentation

My research involves mainly hepatobiliary applications of quantitative contrast-enhanced MRI, in examinations of both diffuse and focal disease processes.

This can be applied to, e.g., monitoring of chronic liver disease and pre-operative evaluation of liver function. In computed tomography (CT), I study the application of new image reconstruction techniques to achieve good quality extra-low radiation dose CT examinations, and Dual Energy CT techniques.

Other research interests include medical visualization of and interaction with large data sets, educational issues related to medical imaging, specifically related to 3D volume rendering on the Sectra Visualization Table platform, and the evaluation of user interfaces for review and analysis in diagnostic imaging.
