As a postdoctoral researcher, my research focuses on the process development of industrial materials by electron beam powder bed fusion by coupling microstructure-property engineering.

Additive manufacturing and characterization of metals

Through process development discipline, the goal is to understand the effect of microstructure on the properties of materials processed by electron beam powder bed fusion.

As a postdoctoral researcher, I engage with the manufacturing, characterization, and testing of engineering materials that are interesting candidates for additive manufacturing.

I am learning how to integrate simulation models to the additive manufacturing process for better reliability and process outcomes. Our aim is to manufacture modifiable microstructure in materials as per application needs and to understand the link between process parameters and such microstructural features.
