Associate Professor

I am a teacher and researcher at the Unit for Physiotherapy, and also a clinician at the primary care rehabilitation unit Rörelse och Hälsa.

Ongoing research

My three exciting research areas are; Low back pain, patient education in osteoporosis, and students' experiences and thoughts in generative AI in their studies.

Osteoporosis

Researcher in an interdisciplinary research group in osteoporosis, with the development of a nationally accessible digital patient education to facilitate self-care in osteoporosis.

Low back pain

Qualitative interview studies with physicians and nurses about their experiences of implementing the person-centered integrated care course for low back problems (developed by National Systems for Knowledge Management Health and Healthcare).

Students and generative AI

Qualitative interview study with students about their experiences and thoughts about generative AI in their studies.

Previous research

The thesis: Pre-surgery physiotherapy and pain thresholds in patients with degenerative lumbar spine disorders. Available . The research contains a RCT on the evaluation of preoperative physiotherapy, an interview study on the patients’ experience of preoperative physiotherapy, and studies on pain thresholds before and 3 months after back surgery.
