Seminar

Seminar on social norms and the pill

The Division of Economics invites you to a seminar with from Stockholms universitet and Swedish Institute for Social Research (SOFI).

In this seminar, she will present research on social norms and oral contraception – “the pill” – combining economic theory with an economic history perspective. The study examines how access to the pill has influenced educational choices and family formation, as well as how these changes interact with and shape prevailing social norms.

The seminar also connects to her recently published article in The Economic Journal, where she analyses the impact of the pill from a labour economics perspective.

Welcome to a seminar for those interested in labor economics, economic history, and the interplay between social norms, policy, and economic decision-making.
