Walpurgis Night and hat donning ceremony in Linköping

Walpurgis Night is one of the year’s major festivals for institutions of higher education in Sweden. In Linköping, the ¸£Àû¼§ Male Voice Choir and the student orchestra LiTHe Blås play important roles in the traditional celebration.

Nordic Student Singers’ Summit

Since 1987, Nordic and Baltic academic choirs have gathered every three years for a choral festival of sorts.

The first modern convention was held in 1987 at Linköping University under the name Nordic Student Singers’ Meet. The tradition of bringing together Nordic and Baltic academic choirs for musical and social gatherings has since been revived.
