WASP Computer Vision Laboratory, WASP Sensor fusion, WASP Vehicular Systems and WASP Optimization for Learning and Autonomy are located at the Department of Electrical Engineering (ISY) on Campus Valla in Linköping.

Suleman Khan, PhD student at the Department of Computer and Information Science (IDA), is awarded the Lawson Scholarship in recognition of his outstanding research quality and significant international impact.

On March 24, Dominik Drexler at the Dept of Computer and Information Science successfully defended his thesis about integrating learning and AI planning. "Pursuing a PhD at IDA has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my life", he says.

Today’s society rests on cyber security and the ability to be one step ahead of hackers. In recent years, a new threat has emerged – AI. However, according to researchers Elisa Bertino and Simin Nadjm-Tehrani, AI could also be part of the solution.

Artificial intelligence (AI) plays an increasingly important role in our society and in our lives. Critical Infrastructures in society, such as healthcare, transportation, energy, finance, are becoming dependent on AI.

In this project, we consider simultaneously generating coalitions of agents and assigning the coalitions to independent tasks. This optimization problem has many real-world applications, including forming goal-oriented teams of agents.

Knut and Alice Wallenberg Foundation grants SEK 70 million to WASP for a new initiative that promotes the uptake of AI based methodologies in academic research in Sweden.
