Landowner Rudolf Tornerhjelm鈥檚 success in biogas and plant nutrition is built on long term thinking and extensive collaboration between different actors. They have invested in the development of several smart solutions.

With around 500 cows, his own biogas plant and electricity production, farmer Lars Paulsson has taken major steps towards becoming self sufficient in energy.

Now is the time to invest in the export of Swedish biogas. But perhaps it is primarily knowledge transfer and an understanding of the entire waste management system that Sweden should be exporting.

Sweden is capable lof tripling its domestic biogas production within a few years by using organic waste that is not utilised today, say researchers at the Biogas Solutions Research Centre (BSRC) in a policy brief aimed at Swedish decision makers.

They have a mountain of waste and a burning need for green energy. A delegation from Nigeria visited Linköping and there was great interest. They are seeking partners and want to learn more about Sweden's waste management and biogas production.

Brazil has a significant capacity for biogas production from organic waste that has not yet been realised. Hanna Zanatta has studied several societal aspects that affect the introduction of biogas systems.
