Interacting with Drone Swarms: Detection, Localization, Communication, and Jamming
The industry of drones is experiencing exponential growth with multiple sectors planning to rely on them to deliver various services. However, this surge introduces significant challenges in communication and control of large numbers of drones.
Integrated Sensing and Communications (ISAC)
One of the most promising features that will be integral part of the next generation of wireless mobile networks, 6G, is the integration of sensing functionality.
Communication Electronics
We develop modular solutions with low power consumption for wireless sensor networks, wireless data transmission with focus on high data rate / low cost, and antenna and radio frequency design for broadband and multi-band communication systems.
RadioWeaves – physical-layer infrastructure for 6G wireless communication
RadioWeaves is an emerging physical-layer wireless access infrastructure, in which a fabric of distributed radio devices and computing resources serve as a massive distributed antenna array.
Smart City and Digital Sovereignty Research Network
The research network aims to initiate interdisciplinary collaboration to develop notions around what digital sovereignty could mean and how it could be used to ensure the digital rights for people living in smart cities.

Increase in mobile traffic requires higher energy efficiency in networks
In only a few year’s time, mobile networks will be required to transmit 100 times more data, which can give rise to a 100-fold increase in energy consumption. Emil Björnson has calculated how energy-efficient the networks can become.
