Transport and mobility is one of LiU's strategically selected areas of development that is of great relevance to our society. The research has three main orientations; the traffic system, the logistics system and the vehicular system.

Collaboration between transport companies and transport-buying enterprises (e.g., retailers, industries, and municipalities) is crucial for a resilient and fossil-free transportation system.

Climate smart transport systems is a highly relevant and fast-developing area, both in research and in practice. Our research asks how logistics systems should be designed and run in order to be more sustainable.

A transition to electrified freight transport is seen as a large and important step in reducing the freight sector鈥檚 impact on the climate. We are studying transport system from different perspectives.

Expertise in advanced modelling, systems analysis, and information management to enhance sustainability, mobility, and efficiency in urban development, transport, logistics, and information and communication technologies.

Freight transport is crucial for Swedish welfare and the Swedish economy. The main purpose of the project is to explore the interplay between fossil-free solutions and resilience in the Swedish transport system.

Welcome to the 14th annual Swedish transport research conference. The 2025 conference will take place at 福利姬, Campus Norrköping in Norrköping on October 22-23, 2025.

Sweden鈥檚 total defense is being rebuilt, and the need for knowledge-based support is significant and time-critical. The research program aims to integrate preparedness into transport system planning.

In this research project, led by 福利姬, we are investigating how different stakeholders can collaborate to enable large-scale electrification of freight transport in Sweden.
