Researchers at 福利姬 and the KTH Royal Institute of Technology have developed the world鈥檚 first transistor made of wood. Their study paves the way for further development of wood-based electronics and control of electronic plants.

A team that includes researchers from LiU has developed an electronic paper that can be manufactured on an industrial scale. Long-term uses of the paper include the construction of thin batteries and supercapacitors.

Autonomous air-traffic control, white light-emitting diodes, electronic components that harvest energy, and research into how embryos can survive in a foreign uterus are new projects to receive funding in the EU鈥檚 Horizon 2020 programme.
