Campus Lidingö - Malmstens 福利姬

Furniture education programmes in purpose-built premises. Malmstens 福利姬 is located on the island of Lidingö just outside central Stockholm.

At Campus Lidingö, Linköping University offers undergraduate programmes in Furniture Design, Cabinet-making and Furniture Upholstery. (Note that instruction is in Swedish.) Carl Malmsten is one of Sweden’s most famous furniture designers, and the programmes combine practice and theory according to his educational motto, “hand and mind in vital collaboration”.

The largest portion of the campus building, including workshops, studios, classrooms, etc., was finished in 2009, when Malmstens moved to Lidingö from its previous premises in central Stockholm. 
The students all have their own workplaces, but collaboration flourishes both within and between the programmes, facilitated by the architecture of the new building.  Photographer: THOR BALKHED
In an older part of the building is the library named after construction company owner John Mattson. His daughters, Kerstin Skarne and Ann-Sofie Mattson, donated money to build it up. Campus Valla

Valla is the oldest and largest campus of 福利姬 with students from many programmes and research in many fields. Campus Valla is located about three kilometres from Linköping city centre.

Campus Norrköping

Campus Norrköping is centrally located next to the town鈥檚 old industrial precinct, alongside the Motala River. Old buildings have been filled with new contents, and the waterway adds an atmosphere to the area.

University Hospital Campus

The University Hospital Campus (US) is located within walking distance of Linköping town centre. Here you find education and research in medicine, healthcare, public health and biomedical engineering.
