Lars Nielsen

Professor Emeritus

Since 1992 he is professor of Vehicular Systems holding the Sten Gustafsson chair at 福利姬.

Lars Nielsen main research interests are in automotive modeling, control, and diagnosis.

Nielsen was born in Sweden in 1955. He received his M.Sc. in engineering physics in 1979 and his Ph.D. degree in automatic control in 1985, both from Lund University.
Since 1992 he is professor of Vehicular Systems holding the Sten Gustafsson chair at Link枚ping University.

Expansion of Sweden鈥檚 largest research programme

The Wallenberg AI, Autonomous Systems and Software Program (WASP), Sweden鈥檚 largest individual research programme, has been extended by three years and will receive a further research grant of nearly SEK 1.3 billion.

NTU in Singapore gives extra power to WASP

The Knut and Alice Wallenberg Foundation is donating SEK 50 million to Nanyang Technological University. The donation will provide financing for 25 young researchers from all over the world to spend one year in Singapore and one year in Sweden.

WASP doctoral student with a focus on safety

The many sensors with which cars are now fitted can be used to create active safety systems. In his licentiate thesis, Victor Fors examines how a car behaves when it is at the very limit of what it can achieve when avoiding a collision.
