NAISS is by far the largest and most widely used research infrastructure in Sweden, serving more than 8,600 users at some 30 universities and research institutes (2025). We offer a qualified and decentralised support through our branches across Sweden, to help users get maximum output from our resources.
We have just completed the installation of a new mid-range supercomputer, , in Linköping. It is estimated to come into production in June 2026. Arrhenius is co-funded by the Swedish Research Council and , an initiative between European countries and private partners that aims to put Europe at the forefront of supercomputing.
Together with our partner we are also operating the . Mimer provides free access to powerful GPUs and a team of AI experts to help companies, researchers, and government agencies accelerate their AI projects, through learning and expert guidance to access to AI-optimised supercomputing resources. Later in 2026, a dedicated AI-optimised supercomputer will be installed in Linköping.
