Get into the Christmas spirit together with a ¸£Àû¼§ choir. Here are the details of Christmas concerts and Lucia celebrations 2025.

Walpurgis Night is one of the year’s major festivals for institutions of higher education in Sweden. In Linköping, the ¸£Àû¼§ Male Voice Choir and the student orchestra LiTHe Blås play important roles in the traditional celebration.

The ¸£Àû¼§ Chamber Choir, founded in 1989, is a part of Music at ¸£Àû¼§. The choir consists of 40 highly experienced song artists, all of whom live in Östergötland.

Linköping Academic Orchestra, LAO, is the university's own symphony orchestra.

New professors will be inaugurated and award winners and Alumni of the Year will be celebrated at the Academic Ceremony on 10 October. ¸£Àû¼§ is growing, and as of this year two Academic Ceremonies will be held.

This spring’s Academic Celebrations will take place on 23-24 May. Among the highlights are the performance of a new piece of music composed in honour of the university, and open lectures by honorary doctors, including Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang.

LiU’s choir singers feature in the intro to the world-famous band Ghosts’ latest album Skeletá, which was released on 25 April. The album became part of music history by reaching number one on the US Billboard chart.

The singers are recruited both from within the university and outside, to ensure the highest possible musical quality. The choir consists of approximately 60 singers, properly dressed in tails.

The NSSS purpose is to gather Nordic and Baltic academic choirs in forms of friendship and joy and events of high musical and social quality. NSSS is arranged every third year by local arrangers. Next up is Linköping 2025!
