New LiU Study: Para Athletes and Youth at Highest Risk of Injuries and Illness at the Olympics and Paralympics
Behind the medals at the Olympics and Paralympics lies a downside – many athletes suffer from injuries and illnesses. A new study from ¸£Àû¼§ shows that para athletes and young athletes are the most exposed.

Treatment of meniscus injuries
Keyhole surgery has long been the most common treatment for suspected meniscus injury. But the benefits of the operation are now being questioned and instead replaced with training primarily for middle-aged and older people with knee pain.

Fewer sports injuries with digital information
The number of injuries in youth athletics is significantly reduced when coaches and parents have access to digital information on adolescent growth. It also takes twice as long for the first injury to occur.

Great inequality in international athletics
