The industry of drones is experiencing exponential growth with multiple sectors planning to rely on them to deliver various services. However, this surge introduces significant challenges in communication and control of large numbers of drones.

The research in Vehicular Systems has a clear focus on control, diagnosis, and supervision of functions in vehicles.

A central function of an autonomous system is to enable it to make use of its control signals. In our research, mathematical models are used by the system to predict the value and feasibility of possible choices of control signals.

Visionen is a state-of-the-art research arena that provides a unique environment for experimental research and education. Visionen is operated by the Department of Electrical Engineering (ISY).

We can use sensors attached to the body to capture patterns of motion, and the results can for example be used in the gaming and film industries and in medical rehabilitation. Manon Kok鈥檚 doctoral thesis deals with inertial sensors.

The objective of Agtech 2030 is to make eastern Götaland a world-leader in agricultural technology. The programme is selected by Vinnova as a Vinnväxt programme. It has a total budget of nearly SEK 200 million, of which SEK 70 million from Vinnova.

Flying vehicles, manned and unmanned, are today equipped with large numbers of sensors. The vehicles are still controlled manually, but WASP doctoral student Per Boström-Rost shows in his licentiate thesis how the control can be made more autonomous.

When Vinnova recently surveyed research within artificial intelligence in Sweden, 福利姬 was ranked a strong second. One of the leading AI environments in Sweden can be found at the Computer Vision Laboratory at 福利姬.

Two simulation environments, for maritime applications and for air traffic control, have been built at LiU. 鈥淚t may appear to us to be playing games, but it is everyday experience for maritime pilots and flight controllers鈥�, says Jonas Lundberg.
