Algebra Seminar is a seminar series at the Department of Mathematics.

The research group is mainly interested in analysis on metric spaces, and in particular nonlinear potential theory associated with p-harmonic functions and quasiminimizers in Euclidean and metric spaces.

Maths Coach Online is a chat service offering pupils in primary and secondary school free online mathematics help from university students. Maths Coach Online also provides a basis for research on how to deliver online-based education.

Many pediatric cancer care survivors develop serious cardiovascular complications later in life. The emerging field of computational cardio-oncology leverages advanced data methods to better predict and prevent these complications.

The members of the group work within the fields of representation theory of associative algebras and Lie algebras, and non-associative algebras.

The department conducts research in computational mathematics, mathematics and applied mathematics, mathematical statistics, and optimization. We provide courses to students in most degree programmes in mathematics, science and engineering.

Our research focuses on a number of different subject areas such as algebra, geometry, topology, dynamic systems, combinatorics and graph theory. The division consists of about twenty teachers, researchers and doctoral students.
