Isabelle Strömstedt

University Lecturer in Graphic Design and Communication.

As a lecturer in the Bachelor’s program in Graphic Design and Communication, I teach visual culture and marketing while conducting research in visual and popular culture. I also work as a content leader in the Tellus research project, creating stories that enhance children’s interest in and understanding of STEM subjects and sustainable development.

I teach subjects such as visual culture, visual represenation, marketing, graphic design, and other media and communication-related topics. My teaching aims to integrate theoretical insights with analytical applications to provide students with a deeper understanding of how visual representations influence and shape our contemporary world.

My research interests include areas such as visual culture, narrative, popular culture, representation, and lifeworlds. I am particularly interested in exploring how visual representations reflect and influence societal values and norms.

In addition to my teaching duties, I work 30% as a content leader in the . In this role, I focus on communicating scientific information in a way that engages and informs students in grades 1-6.

I am also the head of the Graphic Design and Communication unit at Linköping University, where I oversee daily operations.
