Age in Preschool
This research project concerns how children’s age is expressed in the preschool’s pedagogical activities.
This is anchored in a view of age as a “doingâ€; that is, something participants achieve in social interaction (“doing ageâ€). This perspective, inspired by symbolic interactionism and ethnomethodology, was developed in analogy with the interactionist approach of gender research with its key concept of “doing genderâ€.
