- 鈥楽uch a high level of interest among both exhibitors and visitors is, to say the least, a success and proof of how important the Elmia Lantbruk fair is for the whole of agricultural Sweden,鈥� say Per Frankelius and Karolina Muhrman, innovation managers for Agtech Sweden.

Large machines, innovation projects, animals and farm equipment were just some of the things that filled the halls in J枚nk枚ping. New for this year was the innovation arena that Agtech Sweden organised together with Elmia on 16-18 October. The venue gave visitors the opportunity to explore the latest technologies and innovations in agriculture. There were industry-leading companies, experts and innovators showcasing future solutions and technologies in agriculture.

Minister for Rural Affairs on a visit

A lot of guided tours through the innovation arena were held by Per Frankelius and Karolina Muhrman. On Wednesday, the Minister for Rural Affairs, Peter Kullgren, was invited to see all the exciting innovations.
For an hour, the Minister was given an overview of the innovation arena, followed by short presentations from the 22 exhibitors. The exhibitors who participated in the innovation arena were also given a place on the main stage to share their products.

- We are incredibly grateful that we were able to borrow the Minister for Rural Affairs, Peter Kullgren, for a whole hour, who was very interested and impressed by all the innovations he encountered in the innovation arena. The innovation arena was a very successful part and also an opportunity for the companies that exhibited to network with many people in the industry. The fact that it is possible to bring all this together in the same time and place feels fantastic. Says Per Frankelius and Karolina Muhrman, organisational leaders of Agtech Sweden.

Within our project 鈥楽mart, renewable energy solutions for rural businesses鈥�, we had previously held a competition for a limited number of places for an exclusive tour, including around the innovation arena. But there were also stops at interesting suppliers of various energy solutions.

Knowledge hub for agricultural digitalisation

The newly launched Knowledge Hub for Agricultural Digitalisation also had the chance to shine.

At the stand, which was located next to the three other knowledge hubs in Sweden, visitors had the opportunity to talk digital technology with representatives from both the organisations that are part of the expert network and people from the office.

At the stand, visitors could tour digital farms, test the SeedEye demo from V盲derstad, or feel and squeeze a drone from RISE.

On Wednesday, the digitisation hub's organisational leaders, Per Frankelius and Karolina Muhrman, took to the stage together with Ulrik Lovang from Lovang Lantbrukskonsult AB, who is also part of the expert network for the digitisation hub. Together, they gave a presentation on why a knowledge hub for agricultural digitalisation is needed and what it will contribute to.
